Landscape Group Awarded Sole UK HP IPG Remarketing Contract

PORTSMOUTH, April 26th, 2010 – The Landscape Group today announced one of its Group companies, Landscape Printing Systems Limited has been awarded the prestigious Remanufacturing Contract for HP IPG EMEA. This is designed to replace the HP Renew Programme for IPG which will be phased out in April 2010. Landscape’s 14 years of solid commitment to Hewlett-Packard has culminated in their appointment as the sole provider of HP IPG Remarketed Products in the United Kingdom, and 1 of only 2 operations in Europe.

Under this contract HP and its supply chain partners will ship the following categories of products to Landscape’s factory facilities in Horndean, Hampshire, England for complete remanufacture (including restoration and refurbishment work), bringing the products back to a like-new standard licensed by the manufacturer:

• Customer returns and cancelled orders - Fully-functional products that have left the HP warehouse and therefore can no longer be sold as new, plus new devices that are returned as “DOA” or damaged in transit
• Demonstration and trial equipment - Products which have been provided to customers for demonstration purposes
• Factory or reseller overstocks and end of line - Items that are returned by HP Partners to make room for newer product lines
• Factory loaner equipment - Products that have been used for purposes such as trade shows, customer events, or solution centres and have been returned to HP
• New product with damaged or opened packaging that can no longer be sold as sealed/new

Remarketed products are inspected on arrival and, where necessary, repaired, thoroughly tested, inspected, repackaged and released to a GOLD standard. The GOLD standard HP products undergo a rigorous process to completely restore them to their original factory condition and performance. Every enterprise product in the HP Remarketed portfolio is thoroughly tested to ensure that it meets the same stringent standards as new products, and once verified, the HP GOLD Remarketed Products are offered with an optional full HP warranty. In addition the most current software revisions are also installed. GOLD standard products come with

• No optical damages, scratches or cosmetic defect
• Full postponement material and accessories as new (cables, instruction, manual, etc)
• Full original packaging in good condition
• Cartridges with >90% of toner or ink
• Available with or without full HP Warranty
