simple but powerful paper-handling and forms functionality
Enhanced LaserJet Printing adds easy access to sophisticated paper-handling and
forms functionality to your HP LaserJet printer.
Even now, when most of your printed output is of a high quality, do you still find certain
processes require large and loud matrix printers, printing on expensive carbon sets,
producing inflexible output of questionable legibility. Do you wish there might was an easy
way to get automatic multiple copies out of your HP LaserJet printer, with all of the quality,
convenience, reliability and cost savings that modern printing technology can offer.
Enhanced LaserJet Printing (ELP) gives you control over the quantity and execution
of automatic copies, with sophisticated forms potential. At its simplest this could mean
printing an automatic copy of a letter from Word on plain paper. But it could also mean
automatically printing department-specific copies of electronic forms, color-coded for easy
sorting from a single printout from your bookkeeping application - without complex
programming!
how ELP works
The ELP DIMM is inserted into your HP LaserJet printer like any other memory
extension. Using text-sequences you can select paper-trays and output-bins, define the
quantities of copies and pick and combine pre-saved data and macros to format your
printout - all from the comfort of your existing applications.
The ELP also has memory to store forms, fonts, signatures, logos and graphics,
data that is maintained even when the printer is turned off. The data can be managed from
any computer with access to the printer - the easiest way is to use the Forms and
Font Manager (described in its own datasheet).
