Safecom output management system
SafeCom - A unique Output Management System
As intra organisational networks become more extensive with more users and a more complex structure and application range, many organisations experience new problems: increasing print related costs and insufficient control of the printed documents.
The innovative SafeCom Output Management System adds revolutionary dimensions to network printing by redefining printing as a pull rather than a push process. In contrast to push printing, pull printing enables full control of all aspects of the printing process.
How does SafeCom work?
From the first moment the user is introduced to the SafeCom concept, it becomes clear how the product can become an invaluable asset to the entire organisation.
Safecom PIN controlled printing
Pull printing
Redefining the printing process means that print jobs are not sent directly to the output tray of the printer, but are "pulled" by the user while standing at a SafeCom equipped printer, providing the user full control of the output. Pulling documents from any SafeCom equipped printer is comparable to withdrawing money on a cash card. Just as a customer can retrieve money from any cash dispenser, a SafeCom user has the option of printing from any SafeCom equipped printer by pulling the document from the printer after using a personal identity card and/or by entering a PIN code. With the unique pull printing system and personalised identity cards, SafeCom allows any private or public organization to use cost-effective network printers as personal printers - without jeopardizing document security.
